Founded in 1967 as the Agricultural Pesticide Institute of the Philippines (APIP)
The APIP was instrumental in the drafting of Presidential Decree 1144, signed into law on May 1977, creating the Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA).
Mission
To provide collective leadership in the plant science industry through the advocacy of clear-cut policies and effective programs that contribute to a sustainable and globally competitive Philippine agriculture.
